We visited Chernobyl, and nearby Pripyat (the ghost city of northern Ukraine) among other Ukranian sites, in January 2020.

The nuclear disaster that started on Saturday 26 April 1986, at the No. 4 reactor in the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, shook the world at the time.

Numerous lives were lost, and a great many more people were adversely affected over the ensuing years. To this day, a huge area surrounding the epicenter of the accident remains virtually uninhabited. Yet, meanwhile, nature has been busy reclaiming the land.

Our journey inspired a couple of T-shirts including one featuring our photo of the secured No. 4 Chernobyl reactor. In the photo is a sign that reads, in English & Russian, “Please do not walk on the lawn.” In spite of the sobering aspects of the scene, we couldn’t help finding this amusing since there’s not a blade of grass to be seen in that particular spot.

This t-shirt feels soft and lightweight, It's comfortable and flattering for both men and women.
